HETO CONVEYORBELTS
The logistics of chicory from harvest to processing
In this project, the chicory is grown in the open ground in a warehouse. The HETO conveyorbelts are used to transport the chicory heads from the harvest bed to the processing area.
A mobile movable conveyor belt can be placed to the harvest position via a rail system to the rafters of the warehouse. The dual conveyorbelt, which is adjusted in two different directions, can be taken easy during the harvest. The chicory heads run through the mobile belt to a fixed belt along the wall of the warehouse, from there they are transported to the processing area.
The cut off roots go through the second mobile belt to the crate on the path. In the processing area the chicory is made delivery ready by means of a reading and a wrapping sort belt. During the entire logistic process is bumping and falling reduced to a minimum. The chosen HETO belts are low maintenance and can be delivered custom made.
